What's the Show About?
Annie Jr. is based on the popular comic strip "Little Orphan Annie." Annie Jr. tells the story of a spunky Depression-era orphan determined to find her parents, who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City Orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan's evil machinations, befriends President Franklin Roosevelt and finds a new family in billionaire Oliver Warbucks, his personal secretary Grace Farrell and a lovable mutt named Sandy. Its upbeat plot and flamboyant characters have made Annie one of the most beloved musicals in history.

Special Funding
Partial funding for this production of Annie Jr. was provided by a ProjectSupport grant from the Find Arts Fund.
Acting Up is proud to have been awarded a grant from Target for its "Acting Up Reaching Out" program. The grant money will be used to provide Annie tickets to those who would otherwise be unable to see the production. "Acting Up Reaching Out" will give targeted economically-disadvantaged students in Warren County, the opportunity to attend Acting Up performances with 2 free tickets. Acting Up believes that everyone, regardless of their financial situation, should be able to enjoy and participate in the arts. This program will offer the opportunity to see award winning performances in a dynamic theater.
