Arlene Borock
Arlene has taught Drama, English, Public Speaking and Journalism for 20 years at Mason High School. She has directed over 30 plays and musicals (as well as choreographed a number of these). She has been a part of ACT-Cincinnati since 1989; acting, directing, adjudicating and working backstage for many area community theatre groups, as well as sitting on the ACT Board. Arlene has received an Orchid Award for Directing The Drama Workshop's 2004 production of Epic Proportions; and an Orchid Award for Co-Directing and co-choreographing The Landen-Deerfield Theatre Co.'s 1995 production of Gypsy. Arlene has studied Choreography, Dance and Theatre for over 20 years.
Arelene directed Acting Up's premiere production in 2005, The Wizard of Oz. Arlene has also volunteered her efforts in several other areas with Acting Up, being the Director for Once on this Island, Choreographer for Grease, and was our ACT-Cincinnati representative for several terms.
