Christine Smith
Christine always planned to maintain her involvement in the fine arts as an adult. She became connected with Acting Up immediately upon moving to Mason, Ohio from Plymouth, Michigan when her daughter Brianna was cast in Acting Up's Fall 2008 production of Footloose the Musical.
Christine graduated from Michigan State University and has a education background in both Merchandise Management and Fashion Design/Romance Language. She studied French and French General Studies at L'Institute de Touraine in Tours, France as an exchange student the summer after her graduation from MSU. She has a musical background from singing in Adult Choir, to playing the piano, snare drum, bell lyre and the acoustic and electric lead guitar. With over 20 years experience as the owner of a staffing company in Michigan, Christine is a "people person" and enjoys being the Parent Coordinator and Green Room Manager for Acting Up's productions. Christine loves interacting with the parents, cast and crews of each show, and is especially at home in the controlled mayhem of the Green Room during the productions. Christine will do whatever she can to meet the goals and needs of each while having as enjoyable a time as possible.
Christine and Ken, her husband of 13 years, are blessed with 6 children: Cody 19 years old, Brianna 12, Aaliyah 11, Chloe & Christian 5yrs old, and youngest daughter Casey 4yrs old. Two of her children attend Mars Hill Academy, a Classical Christian School located in Mason, OH.
