The Wizard of Oz - Production Team

We were very fortunate to have the following talented people volunteer their efforts for our premiere production, Tams-Witmark's The Wizard of Oz. By clicking on one of the following names, you will be directed further down the page for more information on that individual.

 

Producer - Becky Corstanje
Becky is an RN and has an MS in Administration. In the past, Becky has been responsible for managing medical departments and multi-million dollar budgets. Becky has been a supporter of community theater for years. She has been a make-up technician for several Children's Theater of Mason productions. Becky recently won an Orchid Award for Excellence in Make-Up and Hair for the Lebanon Theatre Company's production of The Octette Bridge Club.

 

 

Director - Arlene Borock
Arlene has taught Drama, English, Public Speaking and Journalism for 16 years at Mason High School (MHS). She has directed 27 plays and musicals at MHS, and two musicals for outside children's theatre groups. In addition, Arlene has choreographed 6 musicals and began the dance team at MHS. She has been a part of ACT-Cincinnati since 1989; acting, directing, adjudicating and working backstage for many area community theatre groups. Arlene has received two Orchid Awards for directing. Her favorite role was Molly Brown in the Loveland Stage Company's Unsinkable Molly Brown.

 

 

Choreographer - Lori Pilone
Lori has a BFA in Ballet from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She has performed in numerous musicals and ballets over the years. Lori taught dance for 10 years in the New Jersey and Philadelphia area. She has also performed in modern dance companies in New York City and Philadelphia.

 

 

Musical Director - Emily Oliver
Emily has a BA in Theater Studies from Wright State University. She has performed in numerous musicals, including Brigadoon, Phantom, and Parade. Her most recent role was Morgan LeFey in Camelot at the Covedale Center for the Performing Arts. Emily has also played viola in the pit orchestra for a number of productions, including Kiss Me Kate and Carousel. She was also involved in Theatre IV's Cincinnati Tour of The Velveteen Rabbit.

 

 

Orchestra - The Ohio Metropolitan Theatre Orchestra / Maestro Benjamin Price
The Ohio Metropolitan Theater Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Benjamin Price, is a dedicated group of young (and young-at-heart) musicians in the Greater Cincinnati area, who regularly perform the music of Broadway, Hollywood, and the world at large. The group was founded in early 2004, and produces its own performances as well as accompanying local theater productions. Most recently they performed their "Salute to Broadway", at the Fairfield Community Arts Center.

 

 

Set Designer - Bob Fritzsch
Bob has been designing sets for over 46 years, earning him 14 Orchid awards for excellence in set design. He has designed and created sets for 42 shows. Bob won the 2001 Mario Pitocco Award for excellence in technical theater. He has also appeared on stage many times.

 

 

Construction Coordinator - Brent Peebles
Brent has never constructed a set before. However, he owns lots of power tools, and is quite clever in math.

 

 

Lighting Designer - Lynn Dudley
Lynn has been involved in 40 shows since high school. He received an Orchid Award for his light design for the Lebanon Theater Company's The Diviners.

 

 

Sr. Sound Engineer - Chris Schwab

Chris has been running sound for live performers for several years. Locally, he has run sound for nearly all events at Mason City schools from 1998 - 2001; including sound for Mason High School's plays and musicals. He also ran sound for Children's Theatre of Mason's Annie Jr., Sideways Stories from Wayside School, and Twelve Dancing Princesses. He even ran sound for a Philadelphia-based rock band in the 1980's! In his spare time, Chris is a Health and Physical Education teacher. Chris also served in the United States Marine Corps for four years.

 

 

Costume Designer - Uma Raghavendran

Uma has a degree in Fine Arts and a certificate course in Fashion Design. Prior to moving to Ohio, Uma lived in California working in the fashion industry for 3 years. She has helped with costumes for six continuous Children's Theatre of Mason productions, including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Aladdin and His Wonderful Magical Lamp.

 

 

Artistic Designer - Heidi Moody
Heidi has a BA in Graphic Design from Samford University. She has worked many years as a 2D/3D computer animation artist, and also enjoys painting large murals on any blank wall she can find!
