Curtis Perea

Curtis is a dedicated creative with a heart for storytelling and community engagement. A graduate of Trinity Life Bible College in Sacramento, California, Curtis spent 15 years in vocational ministry, primarily as a worship director. Now, he devotes his time to family, serving the community, and creative design.
As a board member of Acting Up, Curtis lends his talents to creature design and special effects, bringing imaginative elements to life on stage. His first contribution was to Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief on the design team for the Minotaur affectionately known as "Maud".
His special effects credits also include Disney’s Camp Rock and Beetlejuice Jr. Whether shaping creatures or special effects for the stage, Curtis is passionate about enhancing theatrical experiences for young performers and audiences alike.
