Auditions. Auditions will be Wed. March 20, 7-9 pm at Mason Intermediate School. A SignUpGenius reservation for your audition time is required to audition. Auditions are open to those ages 12-18 in addition to college-aged alumni.

Based on Roald Dahl’s classic children’s book of the same name, Matilda follows Matilda Wormwood, a bright little girl who immerses herself in books. Matilda is discarded and belittled by her dimwitted parents—her father insists on calling her a boy and harps on her “stupidity” for preferring reading to watching the telly—and her hostile headmistress, the outrageous and wicked Miss Trunchbull. Reclusive, but with an ever-growing imagination and sharp mind, and with a caring protector in her teacher Miss Honey, Matilda dreams of a better life, daring to take a stand against unjust forces and to grasp her destiny in her own, tiny hands.

Why a FUNraiser?

$$. Costs are rising. Mason schools are now charging us a theater rental of $5,000- 7,000 for the week. In addition, rights and royalties have increased to over $5,000. This, added to our costs for sets, costumes, publicity, lights, mics, etc. bring our show budgets to over $25,000. We would still like to keep our ticket prices low to make our show affordable to anyone who would like to come. Therefore, we need a fundraiser.
Fun. This will give us an opportunity to perform some great contemporary numbers, from full musicals that we cannot perform. due to one reason or another (ie not enough female roles or mature content.)

Thank you all so much for auditioning! You should all be proud that you were able to stand in front of the directors and audition. It is not an easy thing to do, but you all did it. We're very excited about this talented cast, and can't wait to get started!

Confirm Acceptance of Your Role. Please confirm whether you accept or decline your role/weekend by e-mailing us by Tuesday April 10 at: [email protected]. We worked really hard to make the weeks even both numerically, and voice-wise keeping in mind everyone’s conflicts that were submitted by April 5. It may not be possible to switch weeks at this point.

Subject. Subject header: "Cast List Confirmation".
Name. Your name.
Confirm Spelling. Whether we've misspelled your name.
Accept/Decline. Whether you "accept" or "decline" the role and the week. Weekend 1 performs June 7-10 and Weekend 2 performs June 15-17.
E-mail. Confirm the email address(es) you have received this on and whether you would like us to use any others for future communications. If it is your personal email address, please also include your parents' email address.
Approval. Please provide your approval that your phone # and e-mail can be included in a cast directory that will be provided to all cast members and the Production Team. For example, "You may include my phone # and e-mail in the cast directory."
