Becky Corstanje

Picture
Becky is one of the founders and a past-President of Acting Up. A budding actress and director from kindergarten to 8th grade, her dreams were crushed when she forgot her lines during an ill-fated 8th grade production, and swore never to return to the stage.

This set-back resulted in a life altering epiphany to become a Registered Nurse with an MS in Administration. As a Nurse Administrator, Becky has been responsible for managing medical departments and multi-million dollar budgets. However, the siren’s song of the theatre is too strong, and Becky now finds herself now steeped in community theatre.

Becky has produced several of Acting Up's productions, including: Honk! Jr. and The Wizard of Oz (2005 and 2010 productions); andco-producer for Annie Jr., Footloose the Musical, Grease and Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr. She was also responsible for creating (and sewing many) award winning original costume designs for Acting Up's Once On This Island, Disney's High School Musical, and Disney's Mulan Jr.

She has won a variety of other local theater awards as well, including: Orchid Excellence in Make-Up and Hair for the Lebanon Theatre Company's production of The Octette Bridge Club (2005); Orchid Excellence in Producing for Acting Up's Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr. (2007), Grease (2006), Honk! Jr. (2006); OCTA Fest Outstanding in Make-Up and an OCTA Fest Outstanding in Costuming, for Acting Up's Once On This Island (2007).
