19+ Years of Productions
Acting Up was established in 2005. We have produced over 35 musicals since then, with casts of 80-120 young performers ages 6-18. Below are just a few highlights from those musicals.
Please visit our About Us page for more information on our mission and goals.
Set/Build Facility Fire Recovery - Update
Thank you for all of the support we received from the community during our rebuilding efforts after the fire. Rebuilding is a long and continuous process. We have since moved into a temporary facility on 108 E. Church Street, in downtown Mason, OH. However, as a non-profit, we are always happy to receive donations. We are currently looking for:
Alternate Facility Possibilities
We are still in search of alternate facility ideas. Our wonderful location in downtown Mason, OH is temporary. We are always looking for building and storage facilities.
If you have access, or connections, to a building that could be used by Acting Up for temporary or permanent storage or build space, please let us know by contacting us at: |

Help Support Acting Up
Acting Up is a volunteer young performers community theater group based in Mason, Ohio. We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Our operational costs are supported only in part by ticket sales; the balance of our support comes from financial donations. In addition to (or in lieu of) volunteering your time to Acting Up, there are lots of ways, large and small, that you can make a financial donation: So Many Lines, So Little Time
Just cast in a new production, and now trying to figure out how you'll possibly learn all those lines in time? Never fear, we have some tips to make this process just a bit easier, and your acting better for it. Click here for more info. And yes, there is an app for that! |
Keep in Touch
We always like to know what other area productions our Acting Up alumni may be involved in. If you have been a member of any Acting Up production, and are currently in another production, drop us a note (with the subject "WATN? Update")with the details and we'll post it on our Where Are They Now? (WATN?) page. Who knows, you may see several familiar faces in the audience! Recommended Reading
This is an excellent book for both those new to acting as well as advanced actors. It is a relatively short read, full of succinct and simply set forth principles and activities. Experimenting with these principles will enable you to give a better performance. An Actor's Companion, Tools for the Working Actor. |
